It was a good run, but Navasota unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Burton Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rattlers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Navasota's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Burton, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Navasota has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rice Consolidated on the 28th. As for Burton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Lexington on the 28th.
