Kake piles up the points against Craig

Recap: Kake Thunderbirds vs. Craig Panthers

The Kake Thunderbirds put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Craig 79-36 on the road. Fans of Kake have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryant Holloway, who scored 14 points. That was a full 38.9% of Craig's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brody Bazinet was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Kake's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Craig, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Kake will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against Klawock at 3:00 p.m. on January 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (Klawock is ranked 19th, while Kake is ranked 22nd). As for Craig, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hydaburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
