Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westlake Christian Academy Eagles. The defeat leaves the Guardians without a win on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westlake Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Nieze, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Nieze a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Leach, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Westlake Christian Academy, they moved to 6-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy will head out to challenge South Beloit at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Westlake Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Westminster Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
