Lake Braddock won the last time they faced South County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bruins walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Stallions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Lake Braddock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-15.

Lake Braddock was led to victory by Yana Jensen and Megan Sanjaasuren. Jensen had 14 digs and four assists, while Sanjaasuren had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Sanjaasuren has posted since back in September of 2024. Eden Smith also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lake Braddock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests.

Lake Braddock's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Lake Braddock will head out to square off against Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South County, they will venture away from home to take on Hayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
