Basketball Recap: Trenton Central Comes Up Short

Trenton Central suffered their biggest loss since January 26, 2024 on Monday. They took a blow against the Pennington Red Hawks, falling 80-47. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 12th).

Trenton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Pennington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Windsor-Plainsboro South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trenton Central is facing West Windsor-Plainsboro South at the right time seeing as West Windsor-Plainsboro South is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pennington, they will challenge Blair Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
