Softball Recap: North Sand Mountain Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Sand Mountain walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Cleveland Panthers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bison have posted since April 19th.

North Sand Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-18 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Cleveland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-28.

North Sand Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 loss against West End on the 6th. Cleveland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
