Basketball Recap: Red Wing Comes Up Short

Red Wing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals and fell 78-38. The contest marked the Wingers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Red Wing's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lewiston-Altura, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Red Wing and Lewiston-Altura should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Red Wing (ranked 123rd) will meet Cotter (ranked 277th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lewiston-Altura will face off against Richland Center at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday up 203 places (66 vs. 269).
