Volleyball Recap: DMLK Panthers vs. Manual Thunderbolts

DMLK dropped their record down to 4-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Manual Thunderbolts by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 1st.

Deion Turner paced DMLK's offense, picking up five kills. Turner got some help from Romeo Johnny and his five assists. Israel Anulo controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

As for Manual, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. The victory was nothing new for Manual as they're now sitting on three straight.

Manual had a senior duo take command as Danny Flores had 24 digs and two aces and Abraham Munoz had seven aces, three digs, and two blocks. Munoz is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last six games he's played.

DMLK wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Aurora West College Prep Academy on the 24th. As for Manual, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against KIPP Denver Collegiate on the 25th.
