Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Grove Gets the Win

Pleasant Grove had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the McClatchy Lions by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Elena Delmundo paced Pleasant Grove's offense, picking up ten kills. Delmundo got some help from Aubrey Tripp and her 16 assists. Tripp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

McClatchy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pleasant Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Roseville on the 23rd. As for McClatchy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Vacaville on the 23rd.
