Upper Sandusky is a perfect 8-0 against Seneca East since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rams will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Upper Sandusky is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.
Upper Sandusky is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Genoa Area just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 12-7 to the Comets.
Madison Hart was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Addy Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Seneca East waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Blue Devils a 4-0 shutout.
Not much got past Ellie Vanderveen, who gave up just three hits to keep Carey off the board.
On the hitting side, Seneca East's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hanna Featheringill, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Featheringill's first of the season.
Seneca East's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Upper Sandusky, their loss dropped their record down to 16-3.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Upper Sandusky hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .431. However, it's not like Seneca East struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Upper Sandusky got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Seneca East by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
