Baseball Recap: Falls City Comes Up Short

Falls City lost against Auburn last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 14-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vaden Leyden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Blakley Sells, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Falls City's record is now 2-11. As for Auburn, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Falls City will challenge East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will square off against Benson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Bunnies at the right time seeing as the Bunnies are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
