Basketball Game Preview: East Poinsett County Warriors vs. Lee Trojans

The East Poinsett County Warriors will square off against the Lee Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Poinsett County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.

Last Friday, East Poinsett County came up short against Riverside and fell 65-54.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tyrus Reel, who went 11 for 26 on his way to 27 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. Eli Blagg was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Lee didn't have too much trouble with Barton on Tuesday as they won 59-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Lee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for East Poinsett County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

East Poinsett County won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2024, slipping by Lee 54-53. Will East Poinsett County repeat their success, or does Lee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
