Basketball Recap: Livingston Manor Takes a Loss

Livingston Manor lost against Eldred back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Livingston Manor Wildcats took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eldred Yellowjackets. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eldred's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Gonzalez led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Furler, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.

Livingston Manor's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Eldred, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Livingston Manor will head out to challenge Chester at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eldred, they will head out on the road to take on Fallsburg at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eldred is facing Fallsburg at the right time seeing as Fallsburg is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
