Volleyball Recap: Campbell Takes a Loss

Campbell lost against Gideon on September 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Camels fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Camels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Campbell took Gideon into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-6, 23-25, 20-25, 15-7.

Jalynn Ford was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Gideon, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

Coincidentally, Campbell and Gideon will both be playing Malden the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Camels will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
