Baseball Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King's Academy Knights. The Gators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Sacred Heart Prep got a good showing from Rallin Covey, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Sacred Heart Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sully Fischbein, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Fischbein has hit this season.

Sacred Heart Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for King's Academy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

While Sacred Heart Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
