Basketball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson lost against Dearborn back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Stevenson Spartans lost 74-50 to the Dearborn Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Pioneers are ranked 25th).

Stevenson has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Dearborn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Looking ahead, Stevenson is taking a road trip to take on Belleville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dearborn, they will welcome Fordson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dearborn has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three contests.
