Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Wills Point

Wills Point had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the West Mesquite Wranglers.

Wills Point easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Makaila Whited paced Wills Point's offense, picking up seven kills. Whited got some help from Lydia Turner and her 15 assists. Turner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Wills Point's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for West Mesquite, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Coincidentally, Wills Point and West Mesquite will both be playing Richardson the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, while the Wranglers will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
