Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour lost against Jeffersonville back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seymour Owls lost 56-36 to the Jeffersonville Red Devils. The game marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Jeffersonville to victory were Michael Cooper and P.J. Douglas. Cooper went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points, while Douglas dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Douglas has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Nord, who posted five points.

Seymour now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Jeffersonville, their record is now 3-1.

Seymour and Jennings County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. As for Jeffersonville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-54 defeat against Noblesville on the 14th.
