Preview: Wallace-Rose Hill vs. Goldsboro
Goldsboro have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Wallace-Rose Hill at 7:00 PM. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded after having run the length of the field multiple times (Goldsboro picked up 436 yards, Wallace-Rose Hill 656).
Things haven't been easy for Goldsboro, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a 28-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clinton. Goldsboro got a solid performance out of senior Brody Morton, who passed for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Morton has now scored at least one touchdown in the past three games.
Meanwhile, Wallace-Rose Hill got themselves on the board against Midway last Wednesday, but Midway never followed suit. Wallace-Rose Hill were fully in charge, breezing past Midway 68-0. Followers of Wallace-Rose Hill probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Wallace-Rose Hill's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Goldsboro's loss dropped them down to 3-4. In their victory, Wallace-Rose Hill relied heavily on junior Cameren Dalrymple, who rushed for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. Goldsboro will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
