Baseball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour managed to slip by Archer City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Seymour came up short against Archer City on Friday, falling 9-3. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Seymour saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Parrish, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Parrish also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Seymour has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. The victory got Archer City back to even at 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Seymour Panthers challenge Electra Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archer City, they will square off against Windthorst at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
