Baseball Game Preview: Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings vs. Andrew Thunderbolts

The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings will head out to challenge the Andrew Thunderbolts at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Homewood-Flossmoor managed to slip by Lincoln-Way West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 10-0 to the Warriors on Monday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Andrew had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Chargers. Eight seems to be a good number for the Thunderbolts as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Homewood-Flossmoor beat Andrew 13-8 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Thunderbolts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
