Manatee got themselves on the board against Bayshore on Tuesday, but Bayshore never followed suit. They walked away with an 8-0 victory over the Bruins. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Bruins are ranked 336th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manatee's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bayshore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Manatee will face off against Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Bayshore, they have already played their next game, a 24-0 loss against Lakewood Ranch on the 2nd.
