The Oxon Hill Clippers will take on the Potomac Wolverines at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oxon Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-6 victory over Einstein. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Clippers considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Oxon Hill's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Amir Elder, who threw for 311 yards and five TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and D'Eor Ray, who gained 168 total yards and four touchdowns. Those five passing touchdowns gave Elder a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jason Heatley Jr, who rushed for 39 yards and one score.
Oxon Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Another reason for the win was Oxon Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Tyler Diggs got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Potomac, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in October. They simply couldn't be stopped last Saturday as they easily beat Bladensburg 63-0. Oxon Hill better keep an eye on Malik Iracks. He was instrumental in Potomac's win, rushing for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Potomac didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daveyonn Green-Vailes and Xavion Daniels. Green-Vailes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Oxon Hill's record now sits at 7-3. As for Potomac, their record is now 7-2.
Oxon Hill came up short against Potomac in their previous matchup back in September, falling 32-26. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wolverines' Damarion Baxter, who rushed for 245 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 138 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.
