Topsail Gets a Boost from Hebron in 31-20 Win

Starting off the list is Topsail's Eli Hebron, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hebron rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Hebron and Topsail will challenge South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Hebron up against the Cougars' star signal caller Jayden Daniels. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Ashley found a leader in Quinn Bentley as the squad took down New Hanover on Friday. Bentley did his part (and then some), rushing for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries for the 'W'.

Ashley pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Bentley's next matchup is against Hoggard on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

While South Brunswick might've come up empty on Monday, Jack Earley wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Earley as he rushed for 27 yards.

South Brunswick is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. Earley will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Topsail on Friday.

Williams Posts Huge Game in 56-3 Victory

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Ellis Williams stepped things up a notch to give Laney the 'W'. Nobody could stop Williams as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

Laney pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Williams will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on West Brunswick on Friday.

Paxton Lee Makes It Two for Topsail

The second Topsail player making an appearance here is Paxton Lee, and for good reason. He picked up 1.5 sacks, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss).
