Baseball Recap: Geneva County Comes Up Short

Geneva County lost against New Brockton back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Gamecocks by a score of 8-6.

Caden Hutchings was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Geneva County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for New Brockton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneva County will venture away from home to square off against Houston County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Brockton, they will head out to take on Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
