Recap: Hillcrest Rams vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets
The Hillcrest Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-24 loss at the hands of T.L. Hanna. Hillcrest has struggled against T.L. Hanna recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Hillcrest still got an impressive performance from Ashlyn Scott, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 54.2% of Hillcrest's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hillcrest struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as T.L. Hanna racked up 16 assists.
T.L. Hanna found their leader in underclassman Harmoni Earl, who scored 25 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Earl has scored all season. Tamerah Wynn was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Hillcrest has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for T.L. Hanna, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Mauldin the next time they take the court. Hillcrest will head out to face Mauldin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while T.L. Hanna will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
