Baseball Recap: Legend Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Legend had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Lakewood Tigers. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Nick Farley looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Legend got a massive performance out of Silas Meuli, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave Meuli a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Brush, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Legend hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood struck out eight times.

Coming up, Legend is taking a road trip to take on Chatfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakewood, they will host Doherty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
