Basketball Recap: Union City Comes Up Short

Union City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-16 loss at the hands of the Eisenhower Knights. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Eisenhower, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Looking ahead, Union City will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Erie First Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Erie First Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Union City likes a good challenge. As for Eisenhower, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-57 win against Brookville on the 10th.
