            Baseball Recap: Elkhorn North Wolves vs. Bennington Badgers        
        
		
        
        
            Elkhorn North had lost four straight on the road, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 11-8 to make it five. They lost  7-1 to the Bennington Badgers. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Badgers earlier this season, when they won  3-0.
As for Bennington, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won nine games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
For Bennington's part, they got a great performance from  Jarron Utterback as he  tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Utterback has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Morgan Schuman, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Charlie Swoboda, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 Coming up, Elkhorn North will take on Gross Catholic at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bennington, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  3-2  win against Westview on the 26th.
