Softball Recap: Ohio County Eagles vs. Hancock County Hornets
Ohio County hadn't done well against Hancock County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Hornets back in April, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.
Not much got past Madyson Crowe (2027), who gave up just five hits to keep Hancock County off the board. Crowe (2027) has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ohio County's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Talynn Clark (2026), who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
