South Beloit's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Westminster Christian Warriors 20-12. With that win, the Sobos brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Cesar Alfaro and Richard Carlson made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Alfaro pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Carlson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Alfaro has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Alfaro got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Carlson scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Carlson has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Zane Hagstrom was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Kaehler, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

South Beloit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

South Beloit's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Westminster Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

South Beloit will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
