21 must be Southern Nash's lucky number: they beat North Johnston with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Firebirds beat the Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 21-6. Given the Firebirds' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina flag football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Panthers are ranked 28th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fike fell victim to Northern Nash and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Southern Nash's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Fike, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
