Volleyball Game Preview: Elkhorn Elks vs. Badger Badgers

The Elkhorn Elks are taking a road trip to take on the Badger Badgers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Badger took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Elkhorn, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Elkhorn narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wilmot 3-2. The Elks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Elkhorn wouldn't go down easily and took Wilmot into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Badger came up short against Cuba City on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Badger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-14 record this season.

Elkhorn couldn't quite get it done against Badger when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Elks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
