Volleyball Recap: Alcorn Central Beats Pine Grove for Their Third Straight Victory

Alcorn Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pine Grove Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Mylee Davis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up 12 kills. Davis got some help from Stella Hollis and her 13 assists. Finally, Branna Quinn kept Alcorn Central's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Alcorn Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pine Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5-2 record this season.

Alcorn Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Walnut on the 16th. Pine Grove has also already played their next contest (against Hatley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
