Nanih Waiya had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Louisville Wildcats with a sharp 9-1 win on Friday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Nanih Waiya saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caysen Dewberry, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Dewberry a new career-high in hits (two). Another was Dillan Starnes, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Nanih Waiya always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Louisville only posted an OBP of .400.
