Bloomfield had lost seven games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 6-12 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hoboken Redwings, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bengals have posted since May 14, 2024.

Noah Attas was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Payne, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Hoboken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games.

On Hoboken's side, Ethan Ortiz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. Ortiz has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Max Casazza made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Ojeda, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will face off against Union City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hoboken, they will head out to challenge Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
