Baseball Recap: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Flanagan Falcons

Cypress Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Flanagan Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cypress Bay of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Cypress Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Baron, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

On Flanagan's side, Richard Bello looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).

As for Flanagan, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. Both teams have allowed few runs on average, (American Heritage: 3.8, Flanagan: 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
