Baseball Recap: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Flanagan Falcons        
        
		
            
 Cypress Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  12-1 to the Flanagan Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cypress Bay of the  6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
 Cypress Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Diego Baron, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Flanagan's side,  Richard Bello looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk).
 At the plate,  Brayden Allison was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.  Tyler Lorenzo was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Cypress Bay's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Flanagan, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record  this season.
 Cypress Bay will be playing at home against Monarch at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Cypress Bay has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Flanagan, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against American Heritage at 6:30  p.m. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (American Heritage: 3.8, Flanagan: 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
