Softball Recap: Sioux Central Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sioux Central's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Midgets: they've now lost six in a row.

Sioux Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Sioux Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 victory against West Bend-Mallard on the 13th. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they will square off against Storm Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Midgets have won three straight at home, while the Tornadoes won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
