Caroline is 8-2 against Spotsylvania since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Caroline Cavaliers will take on the Spotsylvania Knights at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Caroline and 13 for Spotsylvania.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 98-22, which was the final score in Caroline's tilt against James Monroe on Tuesday. The contest marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Spotsylvania was beaten by Culpeper County 71-18 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 130th).

Spotsylvania's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Caroline, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything went Caroline's way against Spotsylvania in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Caroline made off with a 50-24 win. Will Caroline repeat their success, or does Spotsylvania have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
