Basketball Game Preview: Cherryville Ironmen vs. Burns Bulldogs

Cherryville is 0-6 against Burns since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Cherryville Ironmen will square off against the Burns Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m.

Cherryville is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 55-36 to North Gaston.

Meanwhile, everything went Burns' way against Hillcrest on Saturday as Burns made off with a 44-24 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Cherryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Cherryville came up short against Burns when the teams last played back in January, falling 65-53. Can Cherryville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
