Southside Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Sabres, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Reeves Israel, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Southside Christian pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will face off against Christ School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they will challenge the Sabres at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
