The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Mt. Pleasant nor Midland made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Oilers fell just short of the Chemics by a score of 2-1. The Oilers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mt. Pleasant saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grahm Phillips, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 24-14. As for Midland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-18.

As of now, neither Mt. Pleasant nor the Chemics have any future games scheduled.
