The Parkway South Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Kirkwood Pioneers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Parkway South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Parkway South took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Oakville 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Parkway South saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Schneider, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jamison Lombardo was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, while Kirkwood put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Northwest. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 7-0 win.

Kirkwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Parkway South, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Parkway South beat Kirkwood 7-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
