Softball Recap: North Salinas Comes Up Short

North Salinas was the 5-2 winner over Everett Alvarez when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

North Salinas' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Everett Alvarez, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Salinas will welcome Watsonville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcatz have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Everett Alvarez, they will host Monterey at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
