Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Eagles vs. Westbrook Christian Warriors + How To Watch

The Douglas Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Westbrook Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Douglas has given up an average of 61 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Douglas is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost to Hayden on the road by a 81-66 margin on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Westbrook Christian posted their closest victory since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 win over Etowah. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Blue Devils on their court since February 2, 2023.

Westbrook Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.0 points this season. As for Douglas, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Douglas strolled past Westbrook Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a score of 59-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
