Softball Game Preview: DeSoto County Bulldogs vs. Babcock Trailblazers

The DeSoto County Bulldogs will square off against the Babcock Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with DeSoto County sitting on three straight wins and Babcock on seven.

DeSoto County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Port Charlotte by a score of 3-0.

The team relied heavily on Juliette Wolcott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Babcock made easy work of Lehigh on Friday and carried off a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Babcock pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for DeSoto County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
