Soccer Game Preview: Hunter vs. Providence Hall

The Hunter Wolverines are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Providence Hall Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hunter is headed out to face Providence Hall after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Wolverines never let Ben Lomond get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Hunter in their matchups with Ben Lomond: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Providence Hall's offense. They lost 8-0 to Highland on Monday.

Hunter beat Providence Hall 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
