Clarinda waltzed into their game on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came out on top against the Shenandoah Mustangs by a score of 8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 two weeks ago.

Clarinda pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Shenandoah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Clarinda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against Bondurant-Farrar on the 13th. As for Shenandoah, they will face off against Lewis Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
