            Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Huskies vs. Albuquerque Academy Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            It was a good run, but  Hope Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took  a  57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albuquerque Academy Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Chargers this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  38-33  loss  back in February.

Despite the loss, Hope Christian still got an impressive performance from   Mia Bishop, who  dropped  a double-double with 22  points and ten  rebounds. Bishop is becoming a predictor of Hope Christian's success: when she posts  at  least eight  boards the team is 12-5 (and 5-6 when she doesn't).  Louisa Landavazo was another key player,  putting up four points along with seven  assists and four  steals.
 Even though they lost, Hope Christian was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. This was only their sixth loss (out of 20 games) when  they've passed the ball that well.
 It was another big night for  Addie Spratley, who  shot 50% from the field on her way to 21  points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals for Albuquerque Academy. Spratley has been hot for a while, having  posted two or more  steals the last 11 times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Hammond, who  posted 11 points.
Hope Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Albuquerque Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record  this season.
 Hope Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  48-44  victory against Lovington on the 7th. As for Albuquerque Academy, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  48-39  win against Silver on the 7th.
