Football Game Preview: Maynard Tigers vs. Hudson Hawks

The Maynard Tigers will face off against the Hudson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maynard has given up an average of 36.6 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Maynard had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of Clinton. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hudson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Lions 29-7. Considering the Hawks have won four contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Maynard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Maynard was dealt a bruising 63-28 defeat at the hands of Hudson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Tigers, Jacob Attaway (who rushed for 226 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
